Owners

Owners can have horses in 3 places.
Home address
Another owner location - for example a field down the road or at a friends.
Barn / Yard - horse located at business where there are likely to be other Owner horses. Either the Owner or Barn can pay.

You can easily change the location or owner of a horse.
